What If…blogs never caught on

If blogs never caught on then there would not be wasted space on the internet further throwing it into the depths of darkness through anonymity. People would not be delusional that others actually care what they think. No I do not care that your dog learned a new trick today. I do not get up to see what new event that your cat did last night. I really do not care. If they did not catch on maybe this person could get off their ass and go out into the real world and find a friend who will listen to those thoughts. But they do not belong on the internet. If you have a real topic to discuss, maybe you could find a forum in which you could interact for an intelligent conversation. But your hamster has nothing to do with the internet. You do not need a dedicated page to ramble about your uninsightful information that you found about some 9/11 conspiracy. I think people might be better off if they got out once in a while, and didn't sit behind pixels and type to no one and refresh their page counter to see if someone cared.
