Idiots Rule the World

Idiots. Surprising that something you should ignore moves me the most. I can’t stand stupid people. Especially people who have opinions about things that do not directly relate to them and try to force them upon everyone else in the country. Specifically I take this to the gaming environment where I spend most of my free time. There are people out there who do nothing but berate gaming companies for releasing a game with violence or an objective that can be fun. These games probably do contain content that is not appropriate for children, but these people can not get it through their thick skulls that not all games now days are for children. A lot of adults play games, the average consumer is getting older, somewhere around the 20-30 range. This a mature level of audience and I think we should allow gaming companies to practice their freedom of speech and make entertaining games without having people try to sue them for making them. I don’t know how we transitioned to a world where making a video game suddenly corrupts all of our children. People need to take personal responsibility for their children and monitor what they do or do not want them playing. Don’t tell me what I can’t play, take care of yourself and keep it to yourself. If your kid is going crazy from a video game, I don’t think it is the game that is doing it. The kid has bigger issues at hand, maybe you should find out what those are instead of calling a lawyer about something you can control.
